NASSI {REBIRTH} : AN AFROFUTURISTIC VISION QUEST
February-May, 2019
Alena Museum has collaborated with artists and visionaries to present a space that embodies the past and present to envision how we imagine the future. Through multi-sensory installations, guests could walk through the peaks and valleys of the African diaspora, experiencing the beauty, pain, culture, and community; a historical, magical journey. Nassi is a rebirth of a culture that has had immeasurable influence around the globe. With the support of our partners, Nassi took place at the historic Swan's Market, free and open to the public.

We are endlessly grateful for all of the volunteers and love that was given to this space and to these amazing artists: Alexis Tsegba • Vince Fraser • Pablo Soto Campoamor • Akili Simba • Yosef • Amir Clark • Shreya • Felicia Gabaldon • Asya Abdrahman
